I am re-blogging this again, Because it is one thing to see it read it or like it. But you get a whole different feeling when you click the link at the bottom and listen to the clip of him talking.
forgottenfortunes:

Frank Curre, who joined the Navy as a teenager in his own words about Pearl Harbor:
“That ship come 12 to 15 foot in the air, broke in two and settled back down,” he says. “If you’d had a bag of popcorn and you’d went out here in the breeze and threw it up in the air — that was bodies that went out all over that harbor.”
And most hauntingly how he remembers Pearl Harbor today:
“I still have the nightmares, never got over the nightmares. And with God as my witness, I read my paper this morning- and right now, I can’t tell you what I read. I can’t remember.
But what happened on that day is tattooed on your soul. There’s no way I can forget that. I wish to God I could.”
You can listen to his story in his own words here.

About

Any day of the week you could catch me driving a 7.3 diesel, old farmall, or riding my horse. We still work our cattle on horse back and brand in the fall.
You'll never catch me wearing fat babys or one of those fashion designer cowboy hats. Ol lace up work boots and my daddy's old hat do just fine.
I give farm safety speeches and for good reason, I've got more scars than most starting offense football boys combined. If you're curious I'd share that story with ya.
I'm a Southern Iowa/Northern Missouri farm girl who has worked for everything I have, and it has shaped me into the person I am today.
You'll find I am very opinionated and outgoing, it's more fun that way.
My new life goal is to spend a day with Bethany Hamilton. I think we would have a lot to talk about.
I have 5 nephews, those boys are my life and my sunshine. They are a combination of my two brother's kids. My parents are still together and in love, which is hard to find these days.
